I started out as a wee environmental explorer on my Dad's back. Now, after two degrees in environmental science, I find myself living in Virginia working for the Department of Environmental Quality and volunteering with The Nature Conservancy. I enjoy hiking, cooking, tennis, and living sustainably whenever possible. The most important thing I have to do is travel more. Secretly, I also like to teach as well, and I hope my writing will inform readers about interesting and wacky ecology topics.
