Bennett Blumenberg's began his writing career as music critic for an alternative newspaper in Boston, Massachusetts. Academic research in population genetics and human evolution co-existed with 'work' as an board naturalist for a whale watching tour in the Gulf of Maine; program director for an environmental studies program at a USA teacher's college; and hanging out with Led Zeppelin. Recently, Ben has worked as a hike guide and Environmental Educator in a rain forest on (West) Maui, Hawaii. Introducing children to the wonders of sacred Iao Valley has a magic that is beyond words.
