About Me:
Karl was raised in Wales and now lives in Bristol, though his family tree branches to both sides of the Atlantic. Besides holding an English MA, he’s made a documentary on grassroots boxing and travelled to some cool parts of the globe. When he’s not busy as an writer and editor scribbling about offbeat environmental news, he finds time to make noise playing drums in punk rock bands.

Hi Karl,

Thanks for the feedback: understand.

As I'm just learning about EG, I think Children and Nature works best for that article.

I'm preparing a EG-oriented piece (Flower Power)about FLAX, Alexander the Great and the Connichi Festival in Kassel, GE.

It will meet exclusivity requirements and feature snappy images. (With permissions).

Cheers, Randy

Karl, You may remember that Anna wanted to post a translation of one of my articles, http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/animals/news-periodical-cicada-neither-locust-nor-threat

Her e-mail is "Anna Galovich"

Here is a note I just received:

"Greetings,

So sorry to disturb you again with my request.

But I am very concerned about it, as I have not heard from you for more than a half month. Is there a chance, that you will publish the link to my translation http://blog.1800flowers.com/international/nor-threat-es/ in any foreseeable future? I would truly appreciate a quick note regarding this, so that I will not send you anything else if you are not interested in the localization. Hope to receive a response from you soon,

--- Best regards, Anna Galovich"

I replied saying that I brought it to your attention, since I cannot update the page.

Regards, Mike

Karl, just to report a typo in the teaser we see on the "Home" page list. Article "Zoos: The Good and the Bad" by Lisa Hossler. The teaser is "Zoos are an important learning institution in society but tey are also a compromise between the ideal and human limits..". The typo is "tey" for "they".

Regards, Mike

Karl,

I just received a request from someone who wants...well, let me cut-&-paste...

"I am interested in your publication http://environmentalgraffiti.com/animals/news-periodical-cicada-neither-locust-nor-threat and would like to translate it to Estonian language, so I can share it with the readers on my blog. For doing that I need your written permission. Of course, I will credit you as an author and your webpage as a source. Certainly, I will be grateful if you do the same when I'll be done with translation. The translation is non-commercial and will be posted only on the Web, no print copies are planned. Do you prefer email or IM for contact (if any questions regarding the translation arise)? AIM, MSN, Skype? Regards, Anna Galovich"

I am fine with that but have no idea what EG's official stance is...also I cannot add a link back from my article in EG to her site.

Please advise.

Thanks, Mike

Karl. Thought you should know that two of the suggestions on the story ideas page are ones I have covered recently. The 'land art of stephen meyers' link takes you to Sylvain Meyer - French land artist I wrote about some time ago - page 5 of my stories - and the fur graffiti thing I claimed and wrote back in November. Just seemed I should let you know. Cheers.

Hi Carl,

I am new on the site, and had an opportunity bo read your article. It was very well shaped and glad that you were able to offer us these clips. I must say that I kept looking for the rabbit and the hare, hidden in those long locks, many other animals were featured including the fearless lion. We know that the artist will live on in her scuptures known world wide. Thanks for your good work.
