When the weather turns cold we moan about bitter winds and biting chills, too wrapped up in ourselves to notice that all around us the world is still as awesome, as it always is. Icy nights bring with them the familiar flourishes of Jack Frost and his artistic strokes. Scientists have recently discovered that the false widow spider is now able to live through the increasingly mild winters in Britain and now fear that it's only a matter of time until its big cousin the black widow comes hits the British shores.
