The Beautiful Complexity of Animal Hands

Something touches us about hands. Fingertips have some of the most densely packed nerve endings, provide the richest source of tactile feedback, and come with the best positioning capabilities – and not just while hovering over a keyboard. Some animals have hands too, or at least feet that closely resemble them, and they're endlessly fascinating both in form and function. Death is Milliseconds Away…

This photo makes you want to shout, "He's behind you!", because you know that there cute little robin is as good as a goner. Yet we are often most keen to watch animals in their natural setting when they are busy gobbling one another up.
