Nepal’s Annual Goat Beheadings [Graphic Images]

Walking through the crowds and past crippled beggars, midst the heady smell of incense, those who have come to participate in the puja find themselves caught up a throng of people waiting to get to the sacrificial temple. Once there, to the tune of exultant music played by other onlookers, they witness the animal slaughter. The slaughterer’s arm is raised and then the blade is swiftly brought down with a sickening thud, severing the creature’s head.

Mountain Goats Scaling Dizzying Precipices

If mountain goats were bottled, they'd be a certain Dutch beer, because mountain goats reach the parts other beasts cannot reach. Blessed with climbing skills to impress the most intrepid mountaineer, these agile, sure-footed creature deserve to be held on a pedestal as lofty as the alpine crags on which they appear. Practically the only negative thing you could say about the mountain goat is that it isn’t – a goat that is.

Goat Arrested for Attempted Car Theft

An attempted robbery and car theft in Nigeria has led to the citizen’s arrest of a goat by one of the country’s vigilante groups. The vigilante group in the Anifowose Ipata/Oloje areas of the state capital chased two armed robbery suspects and thought they were close to capturing them after thwarting their attempts to steal a Mazda car as a getaway vehicle.
