This week, and for one week only, our buddies over at Neatorama will donate a free T-shirt from their online shop to the person who has answered correctly or given the next best repsonse.

You’d be forgiven in thinking that these trees have been pummeled and almost uprooted as hurricane season is upon us but, believe it or not, they’re actually meant to look like that. Created by the same guys who brought us the Blur Building, Diller, Scofidio and Renfro, the trees form part of an installation at this year’s biennial arts festival in Liverpool, UK.

The roads are deathly quiet. Antonio Perez's shabby old taxi carefully makes its way along the main highway into Caracas. Yet terror is only yards ahead. A looming shape becomes visible through the gloom and Perez, who drives these roads every day, knows exactly what it is - he swerves, losing control of the car, sparks go flying...

Goldsmith's design graduate, Oliver Bishop-Young, unveiled two interesting proposals for the re-use of dumpsters (or skips as they're called in the UK) at the New Designers' festival earlier this month - but would you have lunch in a dumpster, or more to the point, would you swim in one?
