This is all evil and anyone who thinks it is not is evil. The human race is destroying everything beautiful on the planet until every living creature is gone. God damn you all.

To Lucy -
If we were to test on criminals, and then later that man or woman was found innocent, would that be ethical?
In the UK we dont have the death penalty - does that rule us out of conducting any research that requires biological testing?

and to a lot of people here, may i suggest that you look at websites that aren't anti-vivisection
websites such as
'pro-test'
'about animal research'
and various journal articles that explain the advancements made by testing on animals.
The particuarly horrendous cases shown here were carried out before stringent guidelines on the ethics of experimentation on animals were imposed.
Dont judge animal experimentation purely on these outdated cases.
The kangaroo farts is quite an interesting case, methane is a major cause of global warming, and and cows produce A LOT of methane. To remove the methane would be one way of helping reduce global warming. Once you look past the experiment its sometimes easy to see the logic behind it.
I really REALLY urge you to look at how important animal testing is for science before you make your judgement, and i especially urge you to look at the current legislation around animal testing before buying into organisations such as PETA, SPEAK, ALF and ELFs scary mongering nonsense.

I dunno guys. I'm no more of a hippie than the next guy, but if someone told me they could save my life on the condition that they had to do just ONE freaky Demikhov-esque transplant first, I would say no. I just couldn't go through the rest of my life happily with it on my conscience. Unfortunately, there are a lot of powerful people out there who take the whole "man's dominion over animals" concept to a place it wasn't meant to go.

So to Emory, I submit that if we can't progress scientifically without torturing sentient beings, maybe scientific progress SHOULD stop at that point. I for one would certainly be comfortable with that. There are plenty of experiments attempted on willing human participants who are at death's door anyway, why couldn't head transplants be one of them? At least a human would have a comprehension of what was happening, not be pathetically ignorant and confused like those poor dogs.

Okay... Wtf!?! The two-headed dog thing was sick... And it worked... So the dogs had trouble living (it was torture)... And when the dogs tried to drink milk, the milk dribbled out of the disconnected esophageal tube of the puppy. That's sick, we all know that the puppy is going to die (and with the German Shepperd)... He is surely a mad scientist, a dumb scientist, even I know that connecting two animals together won't work just like that, it's not that simple. So the dogs died tortured, confused, troubled, sad and depressed... FUCK YOU! And this isn't for the good of mankind, this was just for the fun of it...

These are a true reminder of the weird minds that some scientist have. WTF are they doing giving elephants lsd, how is that going to help us to get any where? we already know that it is great for us and that sheep eat mushrooms etc, just stop now you crazy white coated men!

Why do scientists have to be men?!?!?!?!! Asshole.

Come on people... I love animals as much next as the next guy, but get serious. Wihtout animal experimentation, we would have no means for testing scientific advances. Would you prefer for us to experiment on humans? Yes, some of these experiments are cruel, and many produce fruitless results, but without most of them, our progress both scientifically and socially would be stagnant. Experimentation and testing is required for progress, case closed.

Any questions why animal experimentation should be banned worldwide? Empirical scientists leave their humanity at the lab door and we are ALL diminished by their deliberate sociopathy.
