Personally I find it a horrible thing to do. I have a morbid fear of 'the unknown' of outerspace. If anything exists out there, I don't want to hear it. All this news on ufos etc is really disturbing and is a horrible experience for someone like me. I had nightmares since I was 5 about aliens and I still have them.

I find it disgusting that people would broadcast something like that considering how dangerous it would be if aliens exist. They could be potentially more dangerous than we think.

The aliens are already here and back in 1971 up in Cape Breton Island NS we all saw whatever the thing was. Glad I saw it but what do you say? Maybe they've always been around observing? Half the country has seen UFO's but no-one wants to talk about it or you're called a kook. They probably think we are dangerous monkees and keep a safe distance. From what we saw they operate with very advanced technologies not microwaves so that could be why SETI hasn't heard a response. Their "ships" defy known laws of physics and are silent.

If the “aliens” haven’t heard our noise pollution as of yet, they must be deaf!
Those who fear sending out music should be more concerned that “aliens” will observe what a warmongering species we are and how we litter and destroy our environment!
Perhaps they already know and that knowledge has discouraged them from visiting!

I seriously doubt that any aliens receiving messages would be discouraged to come here because of pollution or war. I fully believe theres something out there. Have they been to earth? I seriously doubt it. Have they received any transmissions we have sent? I doubt that too, maybe in a few more hundred years when transmissions have had time to get fairly far and at least a reasonable chance of hitting something. But I imagine any species that is more advanced than us has been through what were going through right now. And any species at about the same level of advancement probably is going through it as we speak.
