tell u one thing though......the cgi imaages look like something china would make...you know ripping off american products.

though america shouldnt be worried the china planes would have the same quality as everything chinese made...and fall apart

For those of you taking cheap shots about the quality of Chinese products, just remember that they also cost a hell of a lot less to produce.

Even if the Chinese planes do turn out to be of lower quality than American fighters, the Chinese will be able to afford many more.

As a second point, much as I enjoy reading all this American bravado, you're forgetting the last time America went up against China, the Korean War, which I believe ended in a tie. Alternatively you could consider the Vietnam War (where the Chinese didn't want to get their hands dirty.) which ended with a rout.

China has an old civilization, but I think most people forget history. The Mongolian hordes took control of most of China, before finally being repelled by a strong army. Then in the 1930s Japan whipped China's butt and was using it as a staging area for their expansion of control of Asia. Had it not been for America, Australia, Great Britian and other countries, the would be no China today. General Chanault and the Flying Tigers started helping the Chinese and then America became involved in the war and regardless of any history books, we liberated the Asian peoples by shellacing Japan with the help of other nations.
Read real history books and learn about WWII and what it meant to the world that is now wanting to kick our butts. China has some great people and I spent a lot of years in the Orient (Japan, Vietnam, Korea) and I can tell you that until the Communist took control, America was looked on with favor as a savior, not like toady when the socialists of the world tell their stories.....

Stealth Fighters, even non stealth fighters are a thing of the past. A fleet of unmanned drones could shoot them out of the sky with no risk to the pilots life. 400 Chinese Stealth fighters against 4,000 unmanned drones. Then again maybe they won't have to start a shooting war when they could just collapse our economy.

What the fall of the Berlin Wall signaled was the opportunity for a more peaceful world with the chance for cooperation, but I think that the US blew it. Clinton wanted to blow everyone's mind by increasing cooperation around the world, but he ended up with a Republican Congress full of blithering idiot's. Then Clinton involved us in the Kosovo war, and although their were no American casualties US air power devastated Bosnian Serb positions...

But, it didn't seem like the world was terribly concerned by our involvement there...

Bush wanted a war so bad he could taste it, he started 2 wars. Again, my opinion I believe that Bush swept in the notion around the world that the United States is the Alpha Dog and you could be next! Imo both t Korean and Vietnam wars were ties for t U.S. N. Vietnam eventualy defeated S. Vietnam quite a while after we stopped being involved. Also imo this connects to China mostly thru how after N.vietnam defeated S. Vietnam they defeated Pol Pot in Cambodia and China in a border skirmish in 78 or so.

Interesting article. At first I was a little surprised that the Chinese are so close to having their own stealth fighter. But considering the amount of secrets they have stolen from the U.S. over the years, via computer attacks & American traitors supplying it to them, I guess it makes sense that they would have a program going now. After hearing about the moles in the CIA, FBI & Northrrop, i'm beginning to wonder if America has any secrets left?
