Television chef Gordon Ramsay has angered conservation groups after urging his viewers to eat a critically endangered species of fish.

Ramsay told a BBC presenter that skate, a critically endangered species, was a tasty replacement for cod. He told those watching that there were “plenty of them” and told viewers to stay away from cod due to decreasing stocks.

Gordon Ramsay has not yet responded.
