First to successfully reach the top was 45 year old Alain Robert, otherwise known as “Spiderman,” who claimed that his most recent assent was to raise awareness about Global Warming. A few moments later he was arrested.

Renaldo Clarke, from Brooklyn, had the same idea just hours later. He also managed to reach the top safely where police officers were waiting for him. Spectators were frightened, amazed and at the same time, in awe of their courage.
