Environmental Graffiti Will be Changing Dramatically Soon. Get a Sneak Preview By Signing Up Here.
We’ve all heard rumours and innuendo, and probably even heard global warming deniers and conspiracy theorists use it to downplay the threat of climate change: cow farts contribute more to global warming than cars.

Believe it or not, this is true, confirmed by a 2006 UN study. However, rather than use that fact to demonstrate that global warming is made-up, or that the socialists are coming, one of the fab five sees it as simply one more challenge that we have to overcome as a society.
The former Beatle, obviously upset that more environmental organizations don’t take the stance that vegetarianism is an important behavior to be encouraged, voiced his concern in an interview with PeTA, which obviously shares his feelings on the matter:
“The biggest change anyone could make in their own lifestyle would be to become vegetarian…I would urge everyone to think about taking this simple step to help our precious environment and save it for the children of the future.”
This of course raises the question of how, exactly, cows can contribute to global warming so severely?
The answer, in a word, is methane– each cow produces 300 quarts of methane daily, enough to fill over 400 party balloons. Take that already astonishing number, and multiply it by the 1.53 Billion cows that walked the earth in 2001, and you’ll begin to understand the volume of the problem here. EVERY DAY 15 billion plus cubic feet of methane are pumped into the environment by cows, without considering the amounts of fossil fuels that humans annually expend on their behalf.
Perhaps the best way to have celebrated yeasterday’s earth day, was to eat a salad.

This article is flawed in several ways that are glaringly obvious. (this is not meant in a critical tone)
1.The first one and least important is the fab five remark. You may want to recount your beatles ;)
2. The land, water, electricity, feed, transportation, infrastructure, buildings and market of these animals is a huge untouched Item in this article.
3. The whole idea behind this article seems to be “hey paul mcartney said something” and then not expounding or adding anything of merrit to an already established idea.
4. Ill bet if you took a little more time you could re-write this article into something that truly has something creative and enlightening to say. good luck

This is a little late but recently Paul also called upon people to cut meat from their diets on Mondays.
I started a campaign to help promote it:

Everyone should join and help reduce their strain on the environment. I hope to see something like this become a norm in every American household (but maybe I’m just optimistic).
