That said, we shouldn't scoff at the Russians for trying this. Didn't the CIA once hire fork bender Uri Geller to see if they could use his abilities? And the TV show Medium where a psychic helps solve crimes, is based on a real American woman and police force, if memory serves. Who knows, given time, funding, and guidance, maybe this could be a valuable addition to law enforcement in the future. Look how most people used to scoff at accupuncture, hypnotherapy and the like decades ago. Still, with credentials like those above, I doubt the Russian Mafia, corrupt officials, and black market traders have a great deal to worry about. Maybe the odd burglar can be helped to remember the number of the house he broke into! Steve N.
