A widget is an interactive object that functions on third party sites. You can get the code and paste it on your myspace, friendster, xanga, google homepage and keep track of this blog really easily.

Bristow - Have looked at the article and I am afraid that you are missing the point. All a widget does is display content from this blog site to a third party location. It does not contain any personal information about you.
Also, Google is far more likely to index your site and keep tabs on you that way, than by you displaying a simple widget on their homepage.
