There are several dogsport sites:
DogsLoveToRun at Yahoo.com
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SEMushers/
dogscooter.com
http://www.nwlink.com/~brucec/bkjr.htm
http://www.cartingwithyourdog.com/cpgall01.html#bouvharness
http://www.fchfoto.redweb.cz/index-en.htm (sport link for awesome photos of bikejoring, canicross, and carting)
http://home.comcast.net/~floridamusher/index.html (hip-hop sled dogs)
and numerous youtube dog videos

here's one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTo-1PTRXQQ

I'm 65, disabled, and both canicross and bikejour with my 85 pound dog. She's a service animal and takes me for walks (canicross) and bike rides (bikejor). (She's been trained to pull at speeds I can handle.
Since WE can do it, ANYBODY can do it!
Both are fun, and we get out and get exercise.

Now this makes sense. I thought people were going nuts when I saw dog strollers. Why do dogs need to be pushed around in a stroller?! Dogs should push us not the other way around :)

Not that it really matters, but Antarctica doesn't have dogs down here, nor has it since around the mid 80's due to the signing of a protocol about non-indigenous species on Antarctica.

Interesting sled though
