Since stencils can be used to put up complex artwork in a matter of seconds, they're one of the most common used mediums in graffiti. While many can be rather serious, conveying a sociopolitical message or protesting environmental evils; others are just down right hysterical.

This maybe one of the most clever pieces of stencil graffiti I've ever seen. Its origin is unknown, however, it tends to pop up in neighborhoods all around America.

As funny as this stencil is, it is also technically well executed. The coloring the artist used is almost as remarkable as his hilarious dialogue.

This pint-sized graffiti artist was applied by stencil on a beachfront in Wellington. We can be glad she decided not to say no to stencil art.
