Environmental Graffiti Will be Changing Dramatically Soon. Get a Sneak Preview By Signing Up Here.
![]()
As part of our ongoing WTF? Wednesday series we present you with this uncanny image of two men holding out a surging hoard, but why? And where is it taken?
If you guess correctly, or give us a good enough/entertaining answer, our friends over at Neatorama will give you a free T-Shirt of your choice from their online shop and we’ll give you a ‘big up’ next WTF? Wednesday.
All you have to do is drop a guess in the comments section below, along with your name and email. We’ll then contact you if you win (emails addresses will not be published). Enjoy! .
PS. A teensy weensy clue is: August 31st, 2008
Congrats to Ben who guessed correctly that the last WTF? image of a toilet within a tree was a powder-room pit-stop in a Baobab tree, Zambia; a sight which is pretty common around certain parts of Africa.
If you want to find out all the latest news on the environment, why not subscribe to our RSS feed? We’ll even throw in a free album.

The door swings open to the crowd. The door is being held shut BY THE CROWD. The two men are trying to OPEN the door, not “holding out a surging hoard.”

They all pre-ordered the Canon 50D and just heard about the Nikon D90 and are trying to revolt at the Canon factory?? :)

No, no, no. Clearly what is happening in the scene is this:
The two men on the right were the first men in Kenya to sell contraceptives to women. But…because the only object within the mens’ facility is sand and themselves, they didn’t have anything to test their product on. And as you can clearly see, the product was defective.

I’m guessing this is a women or children clinic or registration center in Sudan with some kind of deadline on 31/08/08.

To be specific:
“Two members of the Africa Muslim Agency attempt to brace the front gate as thousands of mothers carrying their malnourished children try to push into the therapeutic feeding center in Maradi, Niger.”
How frickin horrible. To make things worse apparently a truck hit n killed one of the moms and her kid, starting a stampede. Click on my name for more info.

Well, it would be funnier if this was the Black Friday half-off sale at Bed, Bath and Beyond … but it really -is- a crowd of women desperately trying to get food for their children.

Actually, the two guys on the other side weren’t invited to the party-
it’s the crowd that’s holding them out.
