For me, cyborgs are not science-fiction. I think it started when man devised simple machines to compensate what restricts their movement. I guess now that technology is upgrading itself by innovations and the works of the imaginative, people realized that the “cyborg concept” is making its way to the near future. That way, that “cybertechnology” can help people… specially with disabilities. And as for normal people, they only need to disable themselves if they want an “upgrade”. They have to pay the price. Ha ha!

Wow, science sure has come a long way. That is sure a long way from the bionic man of my youth. Its funny to see Science fiction become reality. I wonder how long until the actual bionics exceed human abilities, and a market for said technology includes people choosing to upgrade.

this is absolutely amazing. i went to the vlach blog and watched her youtube video of her eyes movement, it’s incredible. i always thought that losing an eye would be very difficult to deal with and it must still be, but this gives huge hope for dealing with this in the future. what a way to flip a loss into a possible advancement in technology and lifestyle, really inspiring post.
