Oh dear me, I think back to the time when there was little or no Oxygen in the air only CO2. Think how much CO2 there was in the air to create the 20% oxygen content we enjoy today. The early life forms then thrived on the high CO2 and lack of Oyygen, and converted the CO2 to Oxygen and limestones and today the process is still ongoing and will eventually wipe all the CO2 out of the sky with horrendous consequences for all life forms on earth. (Hey I can be an alarmist too)
If CO2 drives temperature then the earth would have turned into an unliveable hot house millions of years ago, yet we&#039;ve had ice ages when the CO2 levels in the air where 17 times higher than they are today.
Today the global temperatures as measured by the satellites have dropped to pre industrial levels inspite the increasing CO2 levels. Explain that one.</description>
