Georgia Legislature Loves Sugar Gliders
Georgia, which apparently was not among the 46 states that allow citizens to keep sugar gliders as pets, passed a measure allowing that Wednesday on the strength of a personal appearance by one of the little darlings.
The Australian natives--which are best described as bite-sized versions of a flying squirrel-- were advocated by Rep. John Bulloch, who...well, read for yourself. From the AJC:
Sen. John Bulloch (R-Ochlocknee) pulled a sugar glider from his pocket on the Senate floor Wednesday as he pitched a bill that would allow Georgians to keep the critters...
It proceeded to walk around his arm as he addressed the assembled senators, who subsequently passed the measure 58-0.

I think that is great, but i feel people might buy because they are so cute without researching them and put them in aquariums or inadequate housing, owning a sg is a huge responsiblility.they need proper housing, food and vitamins.research is vital to buying a sugarglider.also some ppl may see dollar signs and breed for the easy money instead of for the love of sugargliders.
