Of course they are building new ones the generation I plants aqre not nearly as powerful, safe or effiecint as the new ones. After they make new ones they will probably reprosses(AKA USE AGAIN) the used fuel to significanly reduce its lifespan and danger. They will finish with large amounts of cheap power.

Unfortuantely there will be huge cost overruns due to goverments regulating everthing nucular and cause everthing to cost 3 times as much.

Well, Robert, even if you're not against nuclear power plants, I like your style.
I am sick and tired of all the worthy articles pro and con the nuclear industry.
It's just like the worthy stuff pro and con the concept of global warming.
Blind Freddie (whoever he is) can see that global warming is happening - while not much is done to halt it, seeing that instead, everyone is earnestly debating it.
That same Blind Freddie can surely see that nuclear just doesn't stack up, financially speaking (never mind the industry's other problems)
But everyone's still worthily debating it.
In my country, Australia, there's a strange kind of honesty - we don't even debate it. We just wanna flog off our uranium, make a few corporations even filthier richer, and bugger what happens to the fools that buy our uranium - nuclear plants, nuclear waste - that's YOUR problem, not ours.

At least your article injects a little much-needed humour into the silly debate. Thanks.
