No, the duck wasn’t stalking or beating the fire out of someone– but now a New York man has been legally barred from being near the animal (or her human handlers).

Circles, the 17-year old bird, had a bullet removed from her voice box after a group of “young people” (whatever that means) bounded over Janet Lippincott’s fence on March 17th.

While I would typically ascirbe this sort of hooliganism to 10-year-olds, the order was issued against a 21-year old whose name was not released, leaving me to wonder why he wasn’t pursuing the same interests I was at 21, and instead attempting to storm the neighbor’s duck pond.

Nevertheless, I’m sure the “young man,” whoever he is, will have plenty of time to contemplate his poor choice of hobbies; he’s plead not guilty to a felony animal cruelty charge.
