A fugitive monkey is gaining Facebook fame as he or she eludes officials in Tampa Bay, Florida. With over 80,075 'likes' on Facebook, he has quickly become a pop culture sensation. In fact, the mystery monkey has been spotted as many times on American news programs as he has been laying back by people's swimming pools!

No one knows exactly where he came from but the most popular theory seems to be that he was separated from a troop of wild monkeys 118 miles from his current stalking grounds.

The monkey is too acrobatic in both urban and wild areas to be caught with a tranquilizer gun. He has, however, been captured on t-shirts, blogs and video. The fugitive primate has become both hero and legend as he dodges authorities all over America's sunshine state. Don't believe me?
